The basic idea of the project: The risk of collision in areas of heavy maritime traffic, such as port entrances and straits, is difficult to determine without including heavy traffic of small vessels outside AIS. This traffic is included in this research through a video signal from a camera installed in the area of interest. Using ANN (YOLO), vessels with and without AIS are detected. Using advanced computer vision algorithms, speed is determined. The risk of collision is determined by projection. An additional layer with augmented reality (AR) is used to visualize the risk. In this process, software support for ANN and AR on a mobile platform with maritime applications will be developed.

Osnovna ideja projekta: Rizik sudara u područjima gustog pomorskog prometa, poput ulaza u luke i tjesnaca, teško je odrediti bez uključivanja gustog prometa malih plovila izvan AIS-a. Taj promet uključuje se u ovom istraživanju kroz video signal s kamere instalirane u području od interesa. Upotrebom ANN (YOLO) detektiraju se plovila i koja imaju i koja nemaju AIS. Koristeći napredne algoritme računalnog vida određuje se brzina. Projekcijom se određuje rizik sudara. Za vizualizaciju rizika koristi se dodatni sloj s proširenom stvarnošću (AR). Pri tome će se razvijati programska potpora za ANN i AR na mobilnoj platformi koji ima primjenu u pomorstvu.
